Detroit Concierge

Position: Detroit Concierge

Type: Part-Time Contractor

 

Overview:

The Detroit Concierge Program provides local experts to ensure your guests have the best Detroit experience possible. Services include providing a Pop-Up Welcome Center (sharing recommendations on things to do, connecting people with resources, and answering questions about Detroit), greeting and welcoming guests, staffing an information or registration table, and directing guests to on-site or off-site events. Whatever you need, we’re your friends in Detroit.

Whether it's a Pop Up Welcome Center at the North American International Auto Show and MOVEMENT, greeters for the first annual 1001 Woodward Market, or "human arrows" to direct guests for Special D Events, our Detroit Concierge Team are ready to enrich all your guest experiences.

 

                     

Position Responsibilities:          

  • Staff Pop Up Detroit Welcome Center booths and tables

  • Recommend restaurants, bars, activities, events, etc. in Detroit

  • Answer Detroit-related questions

  • Greet guests at events

  • Work info/registration table

  • Provide assistance on tours

 

Successful Candidate Characteristics:

  • Friendly and engaging with excellent customer service skills

  • Passionate about Detroit

  • Knowledgeable of Detroit bars and restaurants, things to do in Detroit, landmarks, events and festivals (Some training will be provided)

  • Interested in learning about Detroit, its history, and current developments

  • Communicate effectively and efficiently

  • Work independently and as a member of a team

  • Able to multitask

  • Punctual and Detail-oriented
