DXF Wins 5x5 Pitch Night
Jeanette Pierce, executive director of Detroit Experience Factory pitched her MI City Swap idea and won $5,000 during 5x5 Night's Connect the Dots statewide pitch competition at Michigan House in Detroit.
DXF's MI City Swap program will coordinate a series of events that will introduce groups from one city to another through interactive experiences so they can connect with residents, learn about community assets and understand the challenges and successes of another city. Then they will swap and the first city will host a day full experiences for the second city. We hope this program will build cross state relationships to move Michigan forward.
The grant will be used to cover the costs of a two-day pilot MI City Swap between Grand Rapids and Detroit this summer.
